edrftgasdXCVhMost of us know garlic as a seasoning for meals, but over time, it has been used for the treatment of ailments such as high blood pressure, heart diseases, cholesterol, and hemorrhoids. It contains high levels of anti-inflammatory, antioxidants and anti-fungal properties. The ingredient that gives garlic its healing power is the Allicin; it produces the strong smell too. To treat hemorrhoids, garlic can be used in some ways; you can eat it, use as a suppository, or applying on external areas. You can buy garlic in tablet form, but it will not be as effective as the fresh one. If you have decided to use it as a suppository, peel off the outer part and insert into the rectum. Best results will be achieved if you do this before bed. If you want to apply it on the affected area, extract juice from it, then using a cotton wool apply it directly to the anus. This might cause a stinging effect. If it is too strong, dilute it with water then apply on the affected area.
